1. In the selection called "Peer Pressure" George states that "friends have more influence on one another's lives than almost anyone else does, especially in those teenage years when kids are trying to discover who they really are. So hooking up with the wrong crowd can really get you down."Do you agree with his comments? Why or why not? Have you seen other people try to pressure their friends to do things? (Good or bad) Have you felt pressure to behave in certain ways because of your friends?
Well I think that's true, friends tend to sometimes get us in trouble. From what I've experienced with my so called friends is that, they say to be called my friends but if they really where. Why do they want my to get in trouble.Right they what to mess up my life but they don't want others to mess up theirs. They say they got your back but that is the biggest lie they could ever tell you.If they have the right to be called a true friend they should not make you do things you don't want to do.If there good friends They will be there when ever you need some sort of advice. What i admire from George is that he followed the right path. Even though those so called friends tried to make him trip on his way to the good path. He managed to do what was right and did not stumble over them.He walked right across them and headed to the right path.Where his real friends stood by him always at his side.I think we will have obstacles in our lives but we simply cant let that stop us from getting to where we want to be.

assignment #1
1. Why do you think Rameck made the choices he did? He knew right from wrong, so what motivated him to choose the "wrong" path as a teen? I think he is highly influenced from his friends. Rameck is following there every step. He is simply acting like a rebel , just like his friends are.
2. Considering both his parents were drug addicts, was he really responsible for his actions? Explain your opinion.I would say 50,50 because if he was really responsible for his actions he wouldn't be taking his friends examples. The other half is that he is some one different when he is not by his friends.I would describe him as a two face.
3. Are young people responsible for their actions if they have no good role models or people to teach them the right way to live? Explain your opinion.I think it's all depending on the person.it's not that necessary to have some one you admire. you just have to think to your self that you that you don't want to end up like them."your parents"
4. Who are the biggest influences in your own life? In what ways have they shaped you? What have they taught you?I think the biggest person that I am influenced by is my mom. why because she has always been there for me. She was the one that thought me what was right and wrong. I really wouldn't want to see her suffer if i would mess up some day.
